Approved for food use in 1968, Xanthan Gum has earned recognition as a safe and reliable food additive across the USA, Canada, Europe, and numerous other countries, sporting the E number E415 and CAS number 11138-66-2.

Xanthan gum derives its prestigious name from the bacterial species employed in the fermentation process, Xanthomonas campestris.
