Product Description

Glucono-Delta-Lactone (GDL) was a multifunctional food additive. Chemical C6H10O6, molecular weight 178.14, CAS number 90-80-2.Its appearance is white crystal or crystalline powder, almost odorless, taste first sweet after sour, easily soluble in water, insoluble in ether 6813. This substance slowly hydrolyzes in aqueous solution to form a dynamically balanced mixture of gluconic acid and its δlactone, which decomposes at approximately 153 ° C.

Application field:

1.Food industry
Protein coagulant: widely used in soybean products (such as tofu, douhua), can improve the water retention rate, so that the texture of the finished product is tender, and the rate of production is nearly doubled.

Sour and leavening agent: Mixed with sodium bicarbonate (2:1) to make baking powder, used in bread, biscuits and other baked goods, the amount of about 0.13% of flour.

Preservation preservative: Used for preservation of fish and shrimp (maximum usage 0.1g/kg, residual amount <0.01mg/kg) and dairy products anti-milk stone generation.

2.Daily chemicals and industry

Cosmetics and toothpaste: acts as a pH regulator and chelator to help remove tartar.

Electroplating and cleaning: Used for metal polishing, cleaning agent formulation, improve the surface treatment effect.
